The website workshops are led by Kevin Brown and Joy Watkins.  They have complementary skills…  Kevin is more technical and specialises in online marketing with WordPress.  Joy is a motivation and life coach, who will help you make the most of your inherent abilities and push you to succeed online.

Kevin Brown

  • Has marketed online with WordPress for 4 years
  • Published author of books, manuals and video tutorial series on online marketing with WordPress
  • Developer of WordPress themes and plugins
  • Self-confessed WordPress devotee and corporate escape artist!
  • In his former (corporate) life, he trained as a software engineer, qualified as an accountant, worked as a business consultant to many large companies (including American Express and Barclays) and became a chief financial officer.

Joy Watkins

  • Started from scratch multiple “bricks and mortar” businesses in US and UK
  • Certified life and business coach
  • Experienced in offering a wide range of self-help workshops

These website workshops came about from a chance contact between Joy and Kevin.  Joy wanted to exploit WordPress for her business and a quick search in Google found Kevin  (because his websites feature high in relevant search results).

Here is Joy’s story of getting started in online marketing, using the methods we will show you in the workshops..

  • I installed the theme and constructed the main pages of the site and sidebars,  in less than 1 hour!

    This is the third site I have built with WordPress in two months (here are my other sites -Joyasha.com and HistoryLondon.co.uk). I had no previous experience with WordPress and knew NOTHING about codes and was even confused about hosting. I couldn’t even understand most of the terminology having to do with hosting your own site.

    I was so grateful to hook up with Kevin who made it all so easy.

    I have had plenty of personal experience with web designers and developers… more bad than good. That is why I have convinced Kevin at Structure Ltd, to provide a workshop where you really can build your own website in one day, with the aid of something called “WordPress”.

    I was AMAZED how quick I could get my site up and customise it to do just what I wanted. After almost a year of bad communication between web developers and designers, but still not happy with the results, I found Kevin.

    I cannot tell you how shocked I was that “professionals” charge so much, for something I could do myself for free (besides normal hosting costs).

    The best bit is that with WordPress, I can experiment with what I’ve created, without worrying about someone charging me by the hour!

    Whether you are an individual, a freelancer, entrepreneur, or business of any size, after attending our workshops you can build and update your own site for pennies, compared to what you would pay someone else. And at the same time, you can be really proud of creating a great looking professional site that works!

    WordPress isn’t just for blogging, you can eventually build retail sites with shopping cart facilities, portfolio sites, news sites, membership sites just to name a few. The possibilities are only as limited as your creativity.

    If you are worried about your ability to design a website just use one of the thousands of templates available for WordPress. Then you can customize it to look like no-one else’s.

    You can then build as many sites as you want while managing things like mailing lists, newsletters, social marketing, and search engine optimization. Saving hundreds, if not thousands in future, by not paying others for what YOU can do for free.
