Looking for a web developer?
Please DON’T! Read this first…
Do you want your own website, but are put off by the cost?
Maybe you’re looking to upgrade but are concerned about how long it took to get the basics before. Or are you exhausted by the prospect of more mis-communication with your web developer (while he’s charging by the hour!)?
A typical one page site starts at about £200. One page only, means you can’t have a contact page, or go anywhere else on the site and do anything. (They call this a “static” site, because it just sits there and does nothing).
For example, this site you are on now is a fairly simple one and has 17 pages.
A ten page site will probably be between £900 and £3,000. It could be £6000 or more if original sound or video is included.
So what happens, if two months after your site is finished, you need to change the phone number or alter some text that’s consistently being misunderstood?
Well, you have to hire the developer AGAIN, just to make the changes!
What you REALLY need is a website powered by a CMS (content management system)
Simply put, this means you have your own password. YOU can go into the “back end” of your site and easily change text… just like you might do in a Word document!
Sounds great, but they usually START at about £1000…
Is your head suitably spinning by now? Have you pretty much given up hope?
Don’t despair, we have a solution for you…
If you can already do these three things:
